Las Vegas: Head Up Play for No-Limit Hold’em Tournaments March 23, 2013

I will be presenting concepts and strategy for Head Up play for No-Limit Hold’em Tournaments on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10am. (It has been changed from 1pm to 10am.)  The cost is $100 and will run approximately 3 hours.  Those in attendance will be invited to participate in a FREE Private Head Up Tournament to take place on Poker Stars on Sunday March 24, 2013.

The session will include:

  • Head Up Play concepts, strategy and tools
  • The importance of stack size
  • When to play “fast” and when to play “slow”
  • Head Up practice play

    Hi Randy, This sounds interesting… HU play helps you improve your post flop game as you will often find yourself HU post-flop at a full table. However, it sounds like you are focusing on an entire HU match, which I find rare. What I personally would find more valuable is final table and short-handed play. Most live tourneys you will never get to HU play and moves after bubble are critical to bringing home max cash instead of zero or min cashes.
